I noticed that there is a green swirling icon where the number of gold bars should be... And if I click on the bars it says "something went wrong"

I'm sorry there's something wrong with your game Candy Crush Friends Saga. 

Please make sure you have the latest version of your game. Please check if there is an update and run it.

Then try the troubleshooting standards: even if you may have taken individual steps: 

- check your free memory on your device, you need at least 2 GB

- clear the cache

- Force close all apps and restart your device. Make sure it's turned off for at least 10 seconds before turning it back on.

Also make sure you have a fast and stable internet connection.

The "green swirling icon" typically appears when your Internet connection has been interrupted. Consequently, the "Something went wrong" message appears. Once your connection is restored, you should have access to your gold bars.
