Unfortunately, the functionality for sending and receiving lives in Candy Crush Friends is not very robust. Many players are frustrated by this feature, so I created an idea to gather support to improve this functionality. In the Candy Crush Friends Saga game, there is not currently a way to add friends. Instead, you will be assigned random friends.
If you play other King games in which you can add friends yourself (for example, Candy Crush Saga, Candy Crush Soda Saga, or Pet Rescue Saga), they will most likely be included in your CCFS game, along with the random players. Or if you have friends on Facebook and connect your game to your Facebook account, you'll also see them in Candy Crush Friends Saga.
Unfortunately, the functionality for sending and receiving lives in CCFS is not very robust. Many players have expressed your same concerns.
