New costumes are earned by completing special events. In those events, there are typically several levels that include packages located on individual candies. Each package earns points toward the offered costume -- all packages must be collected during the event to get enough points to earn the costume. If the total amount of required points is not achieved, the costume will be added at the bottom of your scrapbook in the "To be collected" section. The remainder of required points must be earned during another special event.

Costumes from previous events are sometimes available in new events. For example, players can earn the Nutcracker King of Hearts costume in the current Valentine's event. Players who already have that costume in their scrapbook can earn the Nutcracker Prince of Diamonds costume. Both costumes have been offered previously. Most special events only include one costume, so this is not the norm.

Unfortunately, some costumes will never be offered a second time. The Galaxy Yeti costume was only available during a promotional event with Samsung.
