No by reinstallation you will not lose your game progress and gold bars. ( if you are saving your game progress by facebook or king account). But yes the boosters /powerups will be lost but if these boosters are also purchased one they can also be recovered through our player support.
But as i told you above that please make sure that there is no other solution except reinstallation. So try to contact our player support through the settings of your game application and send them email and check if they have any other solution for you.

In the last 2 days there seems to be a mjor bug with the Mac App Store.
Users trying to purchase an in app auto renewing subscription are getting the following error:
This is an App Store error and there is nothing wrong with the users accounts.
The only way the user can fix it is by deleting the app and re-downloading it again from the App Store.
But keep in mind that you will lose your boosters if you will reinstall the game.

None of your suggestions have resolved the problem. All other King apps I have are working fine for in app purchases (ie Candy Crush and Candy Crush Soda). Googling the problem it seems anyone who has loaded the latest update on Jelly is having the same problem.
pits definitely not poor signal, bad Wi-fi or need to restart, none of those apply to me.
looks like a coding issue at your end to me. (40 years experience in IT ! )
