Thanks for tagging me @Diamond Lim

    @channie8 Nice discussion.

There are many women who have impressed me. Both those who are not famous like my mother, as well as famous women I have met from books or documentaries.

For me, my mother (unfortunately died 5 years ago) is still an impressive woman. She has taken care of family, children, household and has been working. This is true for so many women who are not famous.

From a book I know the story of Marie Curie. A chemist and physicist who was the only woman to receive the Nobel Prize several times. Together with her husband, she discovered two new chemical elements and researched radioactivity.

A woman from my homeland also fascinated me. Marlene Dietrich, an actress. She is not only famous in Germany, but is known all over the world for her films in Hollywood.

There are so many women who impress me, including here in the community. I hope there are still many examples from the other players.

As a child I was inspired by Wonder Woman, it was nice to see a woman as a superhero

I was inspired by my beloved mother. There was too many reasons for that pick. My mother cannot read since she was brought up during the war and that time women not suppose to read but stay at home. She was a beautiful woman, smart and knowledgeable. She was perfect when calculating money and things. She was very creative and innovative in her life. She wasn't the who wait but the type that make things happen. She was very caring, loving and very simple person. I love you so much mother, I can't even beat you in anything even though I am a teacher now. She aspiring me to be hardworking and do my jobs properly. I miss you so much and may Allah bless you always. I will try to better person than I am now.

@channie8 a great event. Thanks for tag @Diamond Lim

There are two women who have impressed me.

The first is my mother who brought up 4 children - two boys 18 months apart during WW2 and two girls 12 months apart when food restrictions were on. Must have been a hard life.

The second being Margaret Thatcher the first woman Prime Minister in UK a very strong person.

    G'Day @DieOmimi

Yes Chickie, Mother's do the best they can, with what they have and the services that are available at the time. It hasn't been easy for many of them :0)

Marie Curie did crazy good for Women in that generation!!!

I grew up with Marlene Dietrich Movies and a black and white framed photo of her on the wall. She is a true star of Hollywood!! :0)

G'Day @laley Ahh! Yes Wonder Woman and her invisible plane and truly "Wonderful" outfit!! Yes, she has stood the test of time!! Will her and Steve Trevor, make it too the end lol!!!!!!!

G'Day @siti_payung your Mother sounds like she had a lot of ingenuity. You are truly blessed to have such a wonderful friendship with her!!!

G'Day @GlenysB The Era of WW2 was a very hard time. I've lost family to that war and I indeed was told similar stories of hardship, where women had to step up to new roles by "rolling there sleeves up and putting in the elbow grease". We've benefited from the influence of those women, greatly!!!!!!!!!!

Margaret Thatcher had to be strong didn't she!!! A hard industry to be in at the best of times!!!!!!!

Yes we had a very wonderful relationship. I wish everyone here that still have her/his mother.. Please treat her right and with love and respect. With her, the blessing seem gone.

  • I've many to write about💗 but to cut the story short, the woman who still inspires me even though she's no more is Mary Mitchell Slessor.

When the killing of the twins was practiced in my country(twins were seen as abomination and had to be killed so that their blood will be used to cleanse the land or they were buried alive or exposed in the woods, while the unfortunate mother was driven into the bush or even killed). This practice took lots of lives. In the society then, men ruled so women had no say whatsoever and then, this practice seem like an impossible practice to put a stop to but with her determination she successfully stopped the practice(single handedly💪) also while promoting women's right.

🌬All impossibles are possible with God🔥

    Level 3

There are many women who aspired and influence me. Recently she died at the young age of 99 years old. Im talking about Cicely Tyson. All that she endured through out her life and all the challenges she overcame makes her a heroine for many females. My short term goal is to read her autobiography

I have always been inspired by Helen of Troy. She was fearless & way ahead of her time given her behavior. She didn't shy away from going after what she wanted regardless of the price.
