Saved Progress to Facebook. Want to restore progress.

I play Candy Crush Saga on iPhone.

Recent app update was buggy, so wanted to reinstall the iPhone app/game.

Game has option to "save your progress" by connecting to Facebook. So i connected Candy Crush Saga to my Facebook account - and it said this was successful.

I then deleted app on iphone and reinstalled it from iTunes App store.  After reinstalling app and starting it, the game asks "share your progress... " and has button to link with Facebook.  If selecting that, Facebook states "you previously logged in to candy crush saga with Facebook ...Would you like to continue"? I cancelled then by closing (double pressing Home key then swiping up to remove app instances from memory) the Facebook and Candycrush apps. 

My concern is this would sync progress back to level 1 on a newly installed app - rather than restore my "saved" levels.

I have never played candy crush on Facebook.  If I logon to Facebook from a computer now and load the candy crush app, it shows my progress at level 1!

I was nearly at level 2500 before so don't want to start over.... I already lost 1000 levels before when my phone crashed.

How do I get my "saved levels" back?

Researched King Care support and online and have found nothing obvious.  You might expect an easy-to-follow FAQ.

If the troubleshooting doesn't work then in the last paragraph there is a "here" link.  Click on it and it will take you to a contact form to complete.  They can manually add your progress back by going into your account.
