Hi Wendy, I think I might understand this now.  That is the old version of the game which was played on Flash.  What that meant was that you had to collect more stars than her for that particular episode.  You can collect up to 3 stars for each level so multiply that by 15 levels per episode and the total maximum number of stars that you can collect is 45 stars.  So what they are telling you is that Stacey has 9 more stars for that particular episode and if you want to pass her then you need to go back to those 15 levels and where you have less than 3 stars you need to bring that number of stars up.  The only thing that it would do for you is that if you get those extra stars her profile picture will be removed and your picture would be sitting in that trophy.  You don't get any rewards for it.  It's just the satisfaction that you were able to collect more stars in that episode than any of your friends.

I like that satisfaction! She does not have 9 more stars. I have more stars than these other players. My picture used to be on every trophy, and now it's not. Some levels say that I need zero stars to become the champion. There seems to be some glitch. It suddenly switched the other day, and my picture disappeared from most levels.

Hi WendyDatzmanFain, I need much more information before offering you an answer.  What challenge is this?  Where are you playing the game - mobile or PC?  Where are you seeing that you have more stars than your friend?  Is it showing on a leader board and was the challenge over?  Could you possibly do some print screens so that I can get a better idea of what you are asking?    Here are some steps if you need help with print screens:  https://www.take-a-screenshot.org/windows.html
