How do I make sure I won’t lose my progress if I link with Facebook

I have a question about linking my account to Facebook. 

I have a current game of candy crush saga on my that is not connected to Facebook. I’ve surpassed 1000 levels. I do have a king account associated with this game to save my progress. 

I’d like to link to Facebook but I cannot remember if I ever linked to faction the past, like years ago... if I link to Facebook and there happens to be a game from years ago, will I lose my progress?? I have no idea how to check if I have ever had a game linked to Facebook. 

I’m not needing to change devices, just wanting to make sure if I link to Facebook I can keep my progress.

Hi @Mamabobo and welcome to our Community 😊 I think you can connect to Facebook anytime and if it's the same account you used before the progress will sync itself. I am hearing about some Facebook connection issues though and problems with sending/receiving lives via Facebook.
Anyway, there is always an option to connect with King account and sync your progress from Facebook. You can read more about it here https://community.king.com/en/candy-crush-saga/discussion/246143/can-i-sync-my-progress-between-facebook-and-king-com#latest
