i have been playing Candy Crush for a long time and am on currently level 4607, so over that time I had accumulated a lot of boosters. Today they are all gone! Back to zero! Can you please tell me why and how I can get them back ?

Welcome to the place.
Hope that you didn't uninstall/reinstall &/or change devices, otherwise I've got a bit of bad news (details are here).
But there's also some good news, as boosters are easy to earn (especially color bombs); although it would be nice if the powers that be took care of this problem...
