Its rubbish now I'm hoping all will change shortly. I've been playing for 4years now. I'm 63years old and it was fun to play and pass my time. But after spending 4weeks on one level I've gone elsewhere to other games now. Sad why they made changes

Playrix's Gardenscapes dethroned Candy Crush Saga for monthly global consumer spend in April 2020

King's Candy Crush Saga has been dethroned for the first time since November 2012 as the highest monthly global consumer spend in a mobile game.

This was confirmed via mobile data and insights firm App Annie, stating that Playrix's Gardenscapes was the first match-three or match plus build game to take the title away from Candy Crush. Specifically, this was for the month of April 2020 across iOS and Google Play.

Candy Crush Saga still remains one of the top games for consumer spending and has remained a huge force in the mobile games industry since launching in April 2012.

With more people indoors as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, the question remains whether Gardenscapes is able to replicate the success, or if it was down to unusual circumstances globally.

Global consumer spend

Playrix was further confirmed to be the number two mobile company by consumer spend globally in games and apps across iOS and Google Play in April 2020.

The match-three puzzler has continued to drive revenue for the company, surpassing the $1.5 billion lifetime mark in December.

I should imagine candy crush is being used more often due to the lockdown. But new comers to the game would benefit from the bonuses that are of no use to higher gamers. I'm at level 6511 and have finally become so bored with it I only check in now and again just to see if it's gone back to the way it used to be where you required skill and not just luck.

Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately as I said the game requires more luck than skill. It isn't up to me to change, it is up to the game developers. I'm out.

Yes, the games are lucky.

And you have to wait for the right game. But if you have something to say, please do it and improvements could help. This is the only way to work on it. A well-intentioned tip from me:
