Thanks for your patience @Lim! I have seen what you describe that is in Notification Preferences under my profile, but that is not what I am after, so sorry if I am being unclear :-)
I don't want to stop all notifications for a certain category (which is what the settings you mention do), I want to be able to stop notifications for a specific discussion/thread. An example is this great one we are in right now, since it is a great contest, and is advertised in the game as well, there are literally hundreds commenting every day, so I would like to stop notifications just for this discussion "Guess who? Vote for your favourite name and win Gold Bars!". I would from similar experience expect a setting icon next to the bookmark icon at the start of a discussion, where you could make the option to stop notifications for this specific discussion.
A comparison would be posts on Facebook, where you can choose to start/stop notifications for a specific post by clicking the "..." in the top right corner, and get a choice to start/stop them. Maybe @Community_Team knows if this is something that will be added in the future?
It would be an awesome addition if it is not already there, then I can focus on getting notifications for the discussions I really want to follow, without them drowning in my e-mail inbox :)
