I topped my leader board in the semi final but have yet to be told whether I have made the final or not, have finalists been notified????

Yes, the 10 finalist have been notified and have confirmed.
Now, the tournament goes on and the 10 finalists have been confirmed. Please have no doubt about this: they are 10 players that finished first in their leaderboard and also collected the highest number of candies across all leaderboards.

So why have some people been given 50 gold bars a month for the mix up and I've received nothing for topping my group in the semi final

Yes but I actually won my semi final as well, there were about 7 in my leader board and I got 3000 more than the second player so it can’t be everyone that won their semi finals in the final. I’m sure there are lots of others who won their semi as well and didn’t end up in the final. If we’d known we would of all been able to get more candies but if you’re so far in front of the second placed player you don’t try so hard. It’ll be interesting to see who is in the final because no one in this group seems to be. Thanks @Pounawea for the 50 gold bars a month anyway.

In the meantime a popupcame on screen this morning with today's AllStar challenge. Get 45 new stars. I have run out of games so I started at game number one and have replayed games to make every game three star. I have definitely achieved more than 45 new stars but can't find anywhere that acknowleges that.

I did the first challenge where you had to get 11 new levels which I did but no prizes were forthcoming. I have not even attempted this next challenge as it seems a waste of time. The chaos continues. What on earth is happening?

Fake! I finished first on all my leaderboard plus the semifinal. I played all the way until 11pm when it finished so you can't say we didn't compete until the end because that's a lie!
Not our fault you had a "glitch" in the competition. At the end of the day you shouldn't put out a tournament if your computers can't handle it that's false advertising. Plus it's funny how your computer were fine through put the whole competitions with not glitch but all over sudden at the end when fewer people were competing that's when your "glitch" happened, shouldn't it have happened when more people were playing in the beginning??????. All this is lies and fake and your company tries to cover it by giving people 50 gold bars a months to keep everyone's mouth shut!!! If you really had a glitch then shouldn't you have announced it and redone the semifinal competition so it was fair for everyone.
