Flash Player on Chrome Ending (12/31/20)

I play Candy Crush on Facebook using Chrome. Will I still be able to play the game on Facebook or is there something I need to do to continue playing the game on Facebook? What is the version of Candy Crush that uses HTML5? Will I loose my current level status changing over to that version?

Hi @TLW64,

if you sync your progress, then you'll be able to play via Facebook even if you change browsers (like logging in through Explorer instead od Chrome), since the levels are related to your FB account and not the browsers itself. 🙂

@TLW64 Yes you will still be able to play an facebook all you need to do is make sure your browser is updated to the latest version available as this will support HTML5 when flash is ended. Your levels are safe as they are saved to your king or facebook account and the change will not affect these.

I know the game on king.com has already been converted to HTML5 , but not sure if the game on facebook has been converted or not yet but i thought it was.

Iplay mainly via windows 10 app so not seen the facebook version for a while

I know Mr Freddy and Bekicrusher have answered your questions.

As far as I know, CCS game in Facebook is HTML5, whilst others King's game like Pyramid Solitaire Saga is still running via flash player in Facebook. So it is safe for you to continue playing the game via Facebook. Just make sure your browser is updated when the flash player is removed on 31.12.2020.

You are playing the game on Facebook platform and Facebook platform is "HTML" platform which means there is no need for Flash player.

So you can rest assured that you will not have any difficulty in playing games on the Facebook platform.

Hi @TLW64 and welcome to our Community!

Candy Crush Saga was switched from Flash Player to HTML5 back in 2017 already . So you can continue playing the game on Google Chrome even though Flash Player is disabled.
