Farewell dear candies! Mystery Candies and Rainbow Candies

Dear community,

The Candy Crush Level Design team is on a roll, providing more levels and new gameplay elements at a pace we have never seen before! Just last year, we have seen not only new blockers like the Bubblegum Pop and the brand new Sour Skull but also a new Game Mode: the Rainbow Rapids! This year, we have already added a new gameplay element to the game: the Bonbon Blitz. 🙂 We are so happy that we can bring all this content for you to enjoy!

We always look to make Candy Crush Saga a great experience, for both old and new players alike. It is not always about adding new content but sometimes is also about changing existing elements and even retiring old content. As with the old Toffee Tornado, we have decided on retiring two Candy Crush Saga candies, that being The Mystery Candy and Chameleon Candy (or also known as the Rainbow Candy).

Why are we retiring these 2 candies?

The short answer to this question is because we thought that these two Candy Crush Elements were out of date when it comes to their design and purpose. We compared them to our current ones and came to the conclusion that these would not be greenlit if we were to introduce them as completely new elements.

Please note that all levels that involve Mystery and Rainbow Candies will be revisited!

So, what does this mean to you? Dates.

If you are on Level 7565 or beyond, then there is nothing to worry about, as you should not expect to see these elements in those levels. Only expect new levels to be fun, challenging, and engaging!

For all other levels, today we will be pushing these changes to everyone.

When does the Bonbon Blitz appear in my game?

• The Bonbon Blitz will appear from level 8766 which will be available in the game on 3 February on the Windows 10 app.
• Facebook, iOS, Android, and other platforms will get it on 17 February.

I agree with removing mystery candy.

However, I hope the chameleon candy do not remove. (of course, impossible...)

Chameleon candy is similar to normal candy, it just has an extra rainbow gif.

Chameleon candy is not outdated for me. 🙃
