When you give 5 bonus lives instead of adding to current lives it wipes them out so ineffect if I have 4 lives already you only give me 1 more life not 5?

This would be better as a question in the support area. The subject of life is a well-known one. You can always refresh your life. You get some from the players and there are also some as boosters. If you want, feel free to buy them. I don't think anything would change.
Because I always read the same answer from the CM. I'm so sorry.

Hi @jacquidaniel !
When winning the 5 Lives, it is a reload to full 5 Lives, not additional 5 Lives.
Therefore you only get 1 Life if you already have 4.
