If a specific event or new feature doesn't show up in the game, first make sure you have the app updated in your app store.

Then force close the app and restart the device. Open the game and it should reload and reconnect and hopefully it will now show up.

Please note that connection issue may at times cause that some events do not always reach all devices or all players. Some events are also only available for mobile devices.
