Can someone (i.e., @Crazy Cat Lad) explain the prize distribution of this new Fast Race that suddenly appeared today? (it was normal as of yesterday)

Instead of 1st place winning 25 gold bars (what it used to be), it now indicates 5 bars as 1st place prize:

Can this game get any more 🤬🤬🤬🤬ed up!?

I rarely advanced on the map as it is, but with this new change, now there's even less reason to! 5 bars might as well be 1.

oh well, at least there's no pressure to complete an episode now. 😏

I just noticed this as well with the winner getting 5 bars. I was on the last level to win 25 bars and it actually still showed I would get 25 bars so I decidedly to keep playing the last level needed. I finished it and expected the 25 bars but the pop up said congrats and gave me 5 bars instead. So extremely disappointed and feel that was a very unfair thing to do since my game showed 25 bars was the prize before I played the last level and was why I continued playing to beat that level.The new prize levels are so low it makes it less fun to try and beat levels with such a small amount of bars now. Totally dislike these changes.

@moe9774 Interesting, when mine reverted back to normal that night, I'd gotten home (from work) and the Win10 app never showed the discrepancy, but King.com did. Then eventually (30 mins or so) the King.com one finally went back to showing 25 bars (the 2nd screenshot I took) which is the amount I actually received. Your experience makes me think King is tinkering with the Episode Race--so not cool.
