Error message

I am getting the same error message as JMMurray. I have been stuck there for at least 5 days. It started with a purchase of 5 lives for £1.99 (which went through OK), but then was unable to continue with the game. Please help!

Thanks for reply which partially answered my question. My purchase of 10 gold bars was successful, but I was unable to return to the game to use them. Now as soon as I fail a game, the screen goes immediately to "contacting app store" even though there are 12 gold bars available to use to continue. The screen buffers for ever, so can never move on.
