Hello all. Checking in again from afar as would really appreciate the perspective of you guys on Level 11623.
Having become detached form the game for a few months, I made decent progress through just over 700 levels in the last couple of months. You have all obviously passed 11623 successfully, but wondered if a couple of experts amongst you could swing back to it and give some advice on passing, or confirmation that the current version is as unpassable as I perceive it. My Windows 10 platform provides 21 moves, and I am falling way short each time in well over 200 attempts. I work with next to no boosters, and even if prepared to spend money on this level, I am not sure that would provide an obvious guarantee of success. I think it would require Party Poppers / UFOs / Extra moves galore. Happy to be told otherwise. I always try to avoid a fatalistic tone when it comes to Candy Crush, but I do think this level may be my Waterloo.
Overall feedback. Still appreciate the fun that the game has provided over the last 8 or 9 years. There have undoubtedly been some grim times in the last 12 months. As ever, I have no issue with really difficult and interesting levels, but the game seems to have lost the light and shade that used to make it so enjoyable. Currently it feels like you can spend a really long time passing one exceptionally hard and tedious level, only to open up another one on the very next level ..... and then another. Maybe this is nostalgia for a long-lost element of the game, but it felt rewarding to blast through a few fun levels after passing a really difficult one. Wishful thinking, but in each new release of 45 levels, it would be great to have a ratio of 15 really challenging / 15 challenging / 15 fun and explosive.
Sorry for the long post. Look forward to any thoughts on the current status of 11623 with 21 moves. Even better if it crosses the radar of @LindQ 🙏
P.S. Hope posting something about a previous level on the latest thread doesn't break any rules. Please delete if it does.
Greetings @Montrachet of course feel free to post anytime. I looked back at my notes but did not write down anything really negative about the level. It may have changed? Lots of times with these levels with lots of jelly I like to make CB + wrap or CB + strip. Depends on where your colors are positioned on the board. Sometimes make your own lucky board using a booster or 2 to set yourself up. I am not talking about using a lot of boosters just strategically (hand/lollypop) Any player videos that I think are worth watching look about 2 weeks old. Moves have definitely been reduced.
So I finished my levels yesterday (Sunday) later in the afternoon. Playing that there contest ya know!
On Wednesday did not like the 1st two levels put my head into a tizzy! So put the game down for the night.
Proceeded slowly on Thursday kept thinking that a contest would start? Found an update when I checked the Microsoft Store but I had to check for updates first for it to show up. So I thought perhaps the contest was delayed and would start soon. Played the last 13 levels in the 1st Episode and stopped for the night.
Low and behold on Friday, the day after the update here comes the contest. Seems like a pattern if you watch things. Watch everything, sometimes I forget to properly do this.
"Powers that be" you are surely providing me with some pretty boards. Colors, you got that right, pretty colors put me in a pleasant mood. I like the workings of quite a few levels this week! Need to tone it down on the difficulty though... If this game is perceived as too hard (almost impossible to make it to the top) there is going to cease to be as many new addicts. No one wants to play a game that they cannot possibly win.
Favorite Episode - Winner is #3
Favorite Level - Tie between 11715 & 11730
Won my contest...
Thank you @Scooterpie.
By a bizarre coincidence, or an almost instantaneous intervention, I went to have another go a few minutes after posting this morning and the level had changed to 26 moves. Although still difficult, the extra moves allowed time to create some CB / Wrapper combos which have given me the opportunity to finally pass the previously 'impossible' level at 21 moves.
Not sure if @LindQ or a colleague were responsible for this quick action, but please send a sign from the other side if it wasn't simply a coincidental Monday adjustment. Having read back a few pages it is clear that the general discontent has continued, even strengthened in the last few months. It is a shame that it has come to this for a number of long-term players. Has there ever been a response from anyone representing Candy Crush to try and provide some form of explanation as to what their strategy is with more recent releases? As I have mentioned before, there was a definitive shift in the game from Level 9990 onwards.
Anyway, back to the game / grindstone. 🚀
Was without wifi for few days - could still play but no buying extra moves, etc which I guess is a good thing! level 11734 was my hardest - played to the +35 moves but then got it without using them! I am wondering - has anyone elses "hard level" symbol disappeared? It's still on my phone. Really don't care except if someone wants to challenge me to win a hard level, or if the chocolate box has win a hard level as a choice (that is only choice that doesn't want you to use a powerup) then I have no idea which levels are considered hard.
