It’s 5 per day that you get. No matter how many times you ask, or are send lives.
so, the 50 number is how many you can store.

@Crazy Cat Lad , this feature seems to be playing havoc on the lives we do not receive from anyone for the last few days. We have been informed that it is being looked at, but nothing seems to change. Please get this sorted for us?

I find it crazy that you're now limiting lives! However, I'm not getting any on either my desktop or mobile. It's really hard to play if you don't have lives. On top of that, I can go through more than 100 lives in a day trying to pass most levels you've made them so difficult with limited plays. The only way I can get lives in the last couple days have been on my mobile watching the ads. Is that your point? YOu want to get money from the sponsors?

why is there a limit on lives received from friends? my limit was 80 now it has dropped to 50. why

This is bs. Stop taking the fun out of the game. You cap the lives received when it's sent from friends. I have used up all my saved lives to get through a hard level and now I still don't get to receive any lives. What next, you gonna take all my gold too... so annoying. It's just like the govt trying to cap you lottery winnings. Not a happy Jan. So when do I get to receive more lives from friends???!!!

Haven’t received a free life from friend in 3 days,and I’d get well over 50 a day,always had just short of 1000,I used well over 900 to clear one level,since they literally squeezed the lives out of us 😄

It means your stored capacity for lives is capped at 50 now. You will not receive any new lives until your stored 645 lives fell short of 50.

Thats very stupid idea by developers to limit lives received at 5 per day on top of restricting stored capacity. Most of the levels requires atleast 30 lives to clear and king is regularly coming up with nasty surprises.
