Sweet Cinema - how does it really work

My sweet cinema works when it feels like it. Sometimes I get lots of ads, other times only one or two. I have noticed the more levels I pass the quicker the ads come back. Can someone please take out the coconut wheels and swap them with something useful like fish or the paint brush. I have hundreds of coconut wheels sitting in my inventory just wasting away. If only we had a way of swapping them.
