I've used zero lives until this evening and went to add my first 5 lives, but it shows a count down of over 5 hours?
It's not a glitch. They have changed the counter so that it starts at 20/20 and when you use a life, it gets subtracted and the count goes down. Basically, reverse of what it was.

So, we have a new update regarding the lives issue you have been reporting. A couple of days ago they changed the lives by adding a timer, so you can see how long you have until you can use new lives. Additional to that we have changed the way the lives are counted down. Before it counted upwards from 0 to 20 and with the latest update it now counts downwards from 20 to 0. (check the image for reference).
Do you think this is clear enough or was it easier to understand before the new update?

The timer will only appear after the daily limit is reach, which is something you have already got use too.
The timer is only a visual representation that will allow you to know how much time you have to wait to be able to accept lives again.
During the implementation of this feature there was an issue that prevented the normal claiming of lives. The studio already fixed the issue and you should be able to claim lives normally.
. this was not fixed an hour ago, but it is now. maybe a message with an apology for the problems and that hopefully it is now fixed, rather than the previous message that makes out it was fixed ages ago "the studio already fixed the issue" would be more helpful? because people have logged on today and had the same problem. and it is extremely frustrating, along with all the other terrible changes king have made to the game. but there we go, we can agree to disagree. i am certainly pleased it has recently been fixed for me, and i hope it is fixed for everyone else as well.
Yeah, its been next day and it still shows that I can't accept any of the 20 given lives per day. I woke up next day expecting to see 20 lives open for me to use but no, it's still greyed out and the timer is showing 17:00 permanently. This is a bug. I haven't even played today.
The issue is NOT fixed. This only happens in Facebook Candy Crush versions. Apps are fine.
Hi since a couple of days ago i have not be able to use any lives my friends have given me,once my 5 lives have gone i have to wait for them to renew,i have got 69 lives at the moment and i can,t use them.TIA.
well day 2 of not being able to use my lives. time to rethink playing. to many problems but i bet the ones that are buying things can use their lives.
sorry but that is absolute rubbish. if you read the comments, people have not used any lives. i certainly havent and reading the comments, we are all suffering the same. i think i am capable of counting to 20. i think we are all frustrated enough without being treated like 2 year olds.
Why is there a time limit on the lives accepted?

Yesterday it said I had to wait 8 hours, well by then I was in bed, got up this morning and now I have to wait 14 hours having used no lives in the meantime!

This timer is ONLY counting down when im on the page..I have 139 lives that I am unable to use not even one of them in 2 days....My timer is at 19 hours when I got off last night and it continued from 19 hours when I got on this morning... THIS IS BULL...................Its probably there way of make you PAY for extra lives.. They aren't making ENOUGH MONEY...
The game is allowing me to send a life to other players but not allowing me to accept any. I have 16 lives just sitting there. How do I sort this out
Hello @JadaMonroe1 your issue is probably linked to a despicable change that has just recently been made by King to how you can accept lives.

I would like to decide for myself when I use my lives please. I have put in some work to collect them. Trying to get money out of me another way now...
I have exactly the same issues. I cannot accept lives while I have waited for the timer to run out or restart or whatever. I also cannot go back to map when I am kicked out of the contest. It looks like those buttons are just for show on PC suddenly.

Do you happen to have a timer next to your lives? Changes has been made so there is now a timer for when you can use your lives.
I'm having the same issues. Can't accept any lives, shows I've accepted 200 when I haven't accepted any. Have to refresh the page for the come to continue.
As of last night when I play on the PC it won't let me accept lives -- can't use button. Also, when I get kicked out of the one contest it won't let me click the button --- have to refresh page for game to come back. This just started last night. Thanks

I have been playing for years and this issue only cropped up a few weeks back. Every time I log in I must accept terms again and all my saved livves are gone. A few times I have even had to go through the new player first level tutorial.
Today I logged in and although I do have some saved lives I cannot use them as I have a nice clock telling me that I have to wit 13.5 hours. Usually I play during the day and the counter resets during the night while I sleep. But no longer apparently. Considering it is now mid morning that means I have to wait until midnight again (when I will be asleep) before being able to play.
For a game that wants people to play and spend money they seem to be doing their best to restrict peoples ability to play and making spending pointless.
Not really sure if the game is even worth continuing with. Especially considering Support is useless.
I'm having the same problem not being able to access my friends. Usually it resets at midnight, but tonight it says another 24 hours (there is a count down clock, which is new and reset) before you can use them. I'm also having the problem with Candy Royale. When it fails it freezes and I have to reload the game. Please fix these issues quickly! It was bad enough when you limited the number of lives we could use from friends to 20 and now this!
I'm having the same issues. I'd love to know why we need a countdown clock. I am fully capable of looking at a clock to tell me when it's midnight. Telling us how many of our "generous" (sarcasm) 20 lives we have used is much more informative than how many hours I have left until midnight. I swear they don't test changes in a test environment before implementing them on the actual platform. It's extremely frustrating.
waited 24 hours for lives and now it says wait another 24 hours -- haven't used any in 3 days -- just insane - please fix this -- can't play
Having the same issue. It won't allow me to accept lives. The timer keeps counting down, but then just resets and still doesn't allow me to accept lives.

Same here. All day long I haven't been able to check the box to accept lives. Who knows what Candy Crush is doing...I suppose this means I have to spend my time cleaning and doing other things that need doing. However it's Spring Break and would be nice to play without having to wait for lives to show up every half hour.
Just gone to my envelope to access my lives and there is a timer with 17 hours before I can get them!! WHY
Thanks for explaining this. My clock said 3 hours something at 9pm but I was tired so didn't play after. Now, it says 17 hours! That takes me to midnight tonight. so when can I access the lives?
i agree. but i know i have used zero of my gifted lives today because it's 12:10am and my clock just reset. but i still can't use any of the lives my friends have sent to me. I don't think I used any of mine yesterday either before the clock showed up. At most I had used one, maybe. So basically my max number of lives I can accept per day is zero now? Really annoying.
This did happen to me before a long time ago and then it went back to normal, so it is probably a bug they need to fix. Hopefully.

Oh, come on, King ... Last night there was 3 hours to wait for lives, that my friends gave me, this morning is 15 hours to wait. There are 16 lives still waiting, I couldn't use no one. Are you kidding?
And in Candy royal, when I'm thrown out, Candy Crush freezes. Every time.
Yesterday, even if I didn't use up all the lives from the limit, a timer appeared showing that I still have 15 hours until the new limit. It's the same today when I wanted to spend lives from the limit.
