Hello Mimi the pink graphics glitch is an old issue that is supposed to have been fixed, but as you can plainly see it hasn't been fixed correctly. It isn't a major problem though and used to clear itself on the next level or by restarting your game.
Poor server connection, or server issues can be one explanation for your slow game. Alternatively it could be a deliberate change to the game as a few weeks ago several people were complaining about their game running slowly.
