Weekly Contest not Syncing on Other Devices

Hi, I’ve been playing for years, but I’m a rookie posting here. I understand how the Weekly Contest works, with friends and random people. I generally play against most of my family, all of us with iPads or iPhones. The strange thing is…is that my parent’s devices don’t sync up with mine in the contest. In other words, who I’m showing as the #1, #2 or #3 leaders won’t be the same as theirs. Is that normal?

I think normal. And weekly race works with random people in the game. There is 5% chance to get your family members or friends there.
