Normally, when a cascade combo occurs, the game does not display a counter showing how many consecutive matches were made during the combo. I think this would be a indicator that serves two nice purposes: 1) to remind the player that the current combo isn't over yet and they would need to wait until it is, and 2) to give players a sense of pride in crushing the level itself and potentially challenge themselves to record a bigger cascade combo in further replays of the level.
