That is a glitch in the game due to the "special designed" candies in the game (for the special event)!
When you encounter these kind of levels, all you need to do is --> quit your level -- close the App -- shutdown your device and turn it back on after few minutes -- open the game and retry the level.
You will notice that the level board will look normal and you will be able to play without any interruptions!
