Why did the game end when I had matches still going on the board?

I’m on level 2281 and I’ve been trying to pass it for days. I saved my last 10 coins and just wait for lives. This time I ran out of moves but still had matches on the board. I only needed two more blocks so I spent the 10 coins, when I continued I didn’t even have to make a move. The matches that had not processed when I ran out of lives were all needed to pass and it just took my coins. I do buy coins sometimes but this was a blatant cheat cause I technically won and this is the 2nd time too.

That is an interesting post, thank you for sharing this. I assume the game algorithm was faulty. It had you marked down on the "fail" path and somehow you managed to pass the level despite this, so actually you did a great job against the odds by beating the level against all odds, so well done! It's one of these infuriating moments that rarely happens, but has been recorded by some players even with screenshots to prove that they had a successful match on their board to clear the last jelly and yet "failed" the level. I'm not sure King will give you any compensation for the gold spent but do contact Support via the app with your complaint, because it is worth a try. You are not the first player this has happened to.
