Why are ads not showing?

Ads appear as a black screen with only the sound icon and ad creator icon showing, but neither respond to touch. Get a notification to "wait" or "close app" because the game is not responding.

This was reported earlier with boilerplate response. Have lost levels and gold bars because of this *
