I have spent quite a bit of money which seems to be the only way to win levels? Is this just me or do other players have this issue
Hi - I replayed this level several times. It is definitely a challenge and you obviously are an excellent player to have gotten this far - so I'm not sure my tips will help you any:
For a level like this - it helps to have saved some boosters you can use (for example switches and hammers from the daily wheel spin).
I found that even with 5 colors, I could fairly easily make stripe/wrap combos and even CBs formed on their own. With the stripe dispensers, I wanted to get the horizontal stripes down on the board and get them as low as possible so they would keep clearing layers of the blockers on the board. Obviously the more you can open the board, the better your chances of making special candies & stripe wrap combos etc. If you have a CB and you have a switch available - that might allow you to combine the CB with a special candy. I was able to combine a CB with a stripe several times. Of course it would have been even better if it had been combined with a wrap.
I was lucky enough to get a CB and then I was able to make a CB and they ended up next too each other. That almost cleaned up the rest of the board and I only had a few remaining jelly on the board. However I did need to use gold bars to finish the level (I had saved them from winning the episode races).
This is definitely one of those levels that you might just have to hope for that lucky board.

Hi @CorrKenn70 CandyCrush is designed to make a profit for King, so yes, a lot of other players are finding that they have to spend money on this game to keep playing.
The key to playing Candy Crush successfully is to not run out of gold and win every episode race to earn more gold than you spend during that episode. If you are stuck without gold in this game it becomes a pay to play game. If you keep enough gold in reserve then it is possible to pass the hardest levels by using this gold to buy the extra moves needed.

I replayed this level until all my lives are gone!! In one try, I came very close to achieve the goal, but that's it!! Let me call in my friend and co-Mod @bearwithme to see if she can find any tips for you to beat the level 14986🤔

I totally agree! I stopped spending money and am stuck on 14986. This may be the level that I quit candy crush. It’s just not fun anymore. I have been playing for years.
