I am wondering about those leader boards also. If they have thousands of leader boards for each stage then how do they select the top winner for that stage overall? Then, at the end, do they just add the scores of the highest point earners on each level to determine the top 10? I don’t want to continue putting money and energy into this game if that’s the case. I can’t get an answer from Candy Crush. Any idea how to actually contact a person from Candy Crush to get this clarified?
There's not a top winner from each stage overall. It's the top player from each board that moves forward to the next round. So millions are playing right now spread across 25k boards. Thus, 25k players will move on to knockout round 2 (spread across 500 boards). In the final knockout round, those top 500 players will compete on 10 boards, where the final top 10 players go to the final.
To clarify: The current round you HAVE TO win your leaderboard. Each leaderboard is separate. Each winner, and only the winner of each leaderboard goes on to the next round.
Following round starts again from zero. Each of the winners of this round will be assigned to a new leaderboard. And again you HAVE TO WIN that leaderboard.
The winners only will go onto the next round, which will be the round that decides the 10 winners.
So: There will be another TWO rounds AFTER the one we are now playing! And you will have to win YOUR leaderboard in each one.
King do not compare scores across the different leaderboards. It is only ever about which player comes first, not about how high their scores are compared to others playing on different leaderboards.
To add, I’m very concerned about the finals Round 2 and 3 for those maxed on levels. I’m likely to win my finals round 1 and my All Star event tournament expires at the end of round 1. If there are no more levels or another tournament set up and ready to go, it’s like saying I can’t have a chance to go to LA. Have they taken this into consideration? I have anxiety over this.
Thanks,
Tracy
