I've been playing for years and I've always wondered if there is any rhyme or reason to what causes candy crush to lose my game process mid level? It's really annoying when I've gone many levels without losing and I go to another be app and when I go back it resets and counts my unfinished game as a loss. It doesn't happen everytime so just trying to figure out why.

It is just the way the app is designed to work @rydawg2000
In the same way that the Candy Crush stops music apps playing in the background if you navigate away from the app for any reason the app restarts itself.
