So on level 642 I added the fish booster. When I finally got a striped candy and a fish together, they swam to their spots and did nothing to the blocks. Didn't blow up the rows they landed in or even blow up the spots they landed on. Then I only got like one more fish after that. What's up with that? I work hard for those boosters dude. Sometimes I really do feel like I'm being punked on candy crush. Anyone else experience this?
Hello @audball1883🤗 A Warm Welcome to the King Community!
I am sorry about the experience you had in your game! I have been playing from a long time! I cannot remember if this is one of the glitches I have experienced or not!!
But, it is known that the Fish have their own mind and do not "act" as they are supposed to!!
Hi @christinewupp🙋♀️
Do you have any thoughts on this?
I'd say yes, I have noticed that recently the fishes have behaved strangely on occasion. This is very hard to prove, because we cannot take screenshots every time we set off a fish. Most of the time they behave the way we would expect them to, but sometimes they don't. I did yesterday notice that on one occasion a fish did NOT go for the last jelly on the board, which it usually does reliably. However, I had another move and the next time the fish did clear the jelly. More interestingly I had the experience of a fish swimming off to a hit a colour bomb, which made the colour bomb disappear from my board with no effect whatsoever! That was really annoying. So yes, something isn't quite right with the fishes but very hard to pinpoint!
Hello @audball1883
The same thing happened to me recently when a fish from a fish+wrap combo targeted licorice swirls. In your level 642, are there black licorice swirls? Did fish target them? Those licorice swirls are not affected by fish from a fish+stripe combo or fish from a fish+wrap combo. This is a fairly recent change, I don't know if it's a bug or not. It may be worth reporting this to King Player Support team, I think.
Something isn't quite right with the fish in general, I agree with you, @christinewupp.
Then I only got like one more fish after that.
Hi @audball1883 a lot of people complain about how the Fish don't seem to work correctly and the most common complaints are that they don't target what they should and that when chosen as a booster they only appear once or twice. This happens so often I don't think King see it as a problem.
As Christine says it is hard to capture evidence of Fish misbehaving as we would all just have to constantly record our game play and that is never going to happen.
As for your particular problem I only know of one other occurrence of what you describe, so I guess that means it is an issue, but not one that is as common as the other issues with the Fish.
