Did you have to make it to the finals to get the team Tiffi rewards? I was on team Tiffi and did not get the screenshot saying we won. I only made it to 8th place in the knockouts.

Yes, @BrecJack . Only players who made it to the finals would have got the Party Popper.
And according to my experience even then you'd only receive the team Tiffy reward if you either lived in America or stayed up all night playing Candy Crush instead of sleeping. By the time I got up the next morning all I got to see was the screen stating my reward had expired! Of course @QueenB warned us on page 1 about this:

Important!You have 24 hours to claim your rewards after each stage. The rewards will not be automatically added to your game if you don't log in within 24 hours after each stage has ended.
But what we weren't warned about was that the results of which Team won would not be in and its award would not be available to claim until, what, 23 hours after the event had finished. So how long did we get to actually claim the party popper? One hour, two hours….?
