My level changed!

As of this morning I had completed level 17990. I went out for breakfast and a haircut and came back. Now I am at level 17976 (instead of level 17991), but all the levels in this episode, which I already completed, show gold stars. Strange!!! I played 17976 and lost it, hoping that it would revert to level 17991, but all I accomplished was to ruin my win streak. Has anyone else experienced this??? Can you fix this???
