Rewriting older levels is not new. However it has gotten out of control these past few weeks. I think King are trying to rewrite levels to accommodate the new super colour bombs and in the process are ruining the original concept of many levels to such an extent that the game has become monotonous and pointless.
Some levels have become faulty through the rewrites, which then gets picked up by King's computers resulting in changes to these levels which make them far too easy to pass. So the easy levels are often over in one or two moves while of course the harder ones hold players up as they are still fixed for us to fail. This does not make for challenging or satisfying gameplay.
I stumbled across this level by mere chance this morning. It is unrated. The original mechanism would be to obtain all the keys to release the three yellow candies. According to YouTube this level would have an order of seven yellow. It only has an order of 3 now. As the keys themselves are yellow the new order of just 3 makes no sense. This ruins the original concept of the level. Of course no one complains about levels like this as they are easier to pass than before, but it ruins the strategy element of playing. AU (Artificial UnIntelligence) are rewriting and ruining levels that were once carefully and skilfully written by dedicated level designers. It is just such a shame!
