Hi I am new to candy crush but I am falling in love it’s this game, I am playing it everyday and I’m on level 78, does anyone have any tips? about anything? All I know is that I open up the game and press play every time I don’t understand what tournaments are as I have never done one

My tips are these: Keep your gold bars safe and don't spend any until you get to the legendary levels, those are the ones with the fiery skulls, which start at level 205. In the early part of the game if you don't pass on your first attempt often the game will give you a much easier board on one of your next attempts. It will let you win every level eventually and you definitely will need gold to pay for extra moves when you get to the higher levels, don't waste it now. Use boosters wisely. Don't waste starting boosters on levels that are not marked as hard. The game does not give us many free boosters and they are expensive to purchase.
There are no tournaments at the moment so right now you are playing a single player game, but there often are live tournaments in the game. You are in the right place to find out about those, so come back to check this community regularly to find out what is going on. Any tournaments will automatically pop up in your game.
In the meantime try to invite lots of players to your friends list. Every player in your weekly race and anyone you see on the map you can click on their picture and invite them as friend. The game also sends you some friends requests, accept them. The more friends you have in the game the more lives you get so that you can continue to play even after you fail a level five times. Once you have friends make sure you send them lives every time you request one, it is win-win situation for all. Don't ever waste gold bars on buying lives, it's just such a waste of your precious gold. Make friends or be patient and wait for your lives to refill. I cannot stress enough that you must hold on to your gold at this point. You WILL need it later!
