The next time when you are on the last order of the chocolate box, try this:

Oh sorry, forgot that you mentioned you already know about this.
I agree, @Colleen Companion Welsh , it would be good if passing levels in the Star Tournament would count towards the Chocolate Box. That would make things so much better, and also make the Star Tournament much more fun.
You should get new levels today. But I advise not playing them at least until tomorrow, because otherwise you may find that the episode race doesn't pay. It seems that if you do it too soon after the new levels come out, they don't have recordings to compare, so you don't get credit for the episode race. I have been waiting 2 days and playing on Friday, and when I do that, they always seem to work for me. I was thinking I might try Thursday this week, but I haven't tried that yet so I don't know if it will be waiting long enough to still get the episode race. I will report back here when I find out.
I won the Star Tournament again this week. It was easy because I didn't start until Monday, since I wanted to have new levels to play to possibly 'trigger' the All Stars tournament. But that didn't work of course so I'm not in that. Anyway I think it's significant because look at the low scores! Seems like there must not be anyone there in the second qualifier or they would have higher scores. I think teenybee got into All Stars, but did most people at the end of the map get excluded?
Unfortunately Win Levels or Win on First try were the only options available to me. I will be interested to see if this will be the only choices going forward. @Nobody1 I will definitely not be wasting boosters and/or Gold Bars to get less with the Star event especially when it does not count towards the Chocolate Box.

@Colleen Companion Welsh you're right not to waste anything on the Star Tournament. I only play when I'm not wasting anything. I do use starting color bombs and striped & wrapped because I have so many of those (almost a thousand of each), I'm not sure what else to do with them, but I never use any other boosters there. And yet I have won it twice. So hey, it's a free UFO in exchange for playing some fairly fun levels. Some of the levels are just exasperating, but others are actually quite fun, and I enjoy playing them. Since they don't cost any boosters I care about, I play them.
Hopefully the chocolate box options were just bad luck; I've had that happen a couple of times since getting to the end of the map, but most times I do get other options. Unfortunately, I rarely see something as nice as just one UFO or just one party booster, but I often get 2 of one of those. Unfortunately 2 party boosters is a net loss on gold (if you have to buy them), but at least it keeps the box going, so I usually still do it. I probably won't if I actually have to buy them, though, rather than using ones in my inventory. It's not that bad to let the gold chocolate box expire and then work through the other boxes again, so that's always an option.
The only reason I was surprised by the low scores in my Star Tournament batch this week is because I assumed that surely SOMEONE might have been in the second qualifier group, and so would have played a decent amount. But those scores are quite low. I suppose perhaps the top few below me might have still scored enough to get through the qualifier, though, since the competition for that is usually pretty minor, so maybe it doesn't mean much. I will be interested to see how many high scores I'm seeing in the Star Tournament once the real knockout stages start.
Totally agree with you @Colleen Companion Welsh and I posted about this previously - four options should be four options and not two options repeated. The worst is when you get stuck with the two you mention on a Friday or Saturday and you know that the time will have run out before you get new levels. There should be a Quit button on the Gold chocolate box so you can go back to the Classic box straight away when this happens, rather than having to wait days to end up there anyway, with nothing to work on in the meantime.
Yes I did get the All Stars @Nobody1. I do think that’s because I don’t have many gold bars/boosters.
Btw I know you posted elsewhere about the recent removal of some levels from the Star Tournament and while I’m not that observant I did notice that the nicest level - the one with all the dragons, I think it was no. 17 on your very useful chart? - hasn’t appeared for weeks. Too many purple candies, maybe?
Yes, level 17, that was one of the 20 levels that disappeared, @teenybee . That was clearly the easiest, most fun level. Probably due to all the purple candies, yes.
I listed all the levels that went away. If you look at them, you'll probably realize that most of them were some of the easiest levels.
They went away just a few weeks after I hit the end of the map. @teenybee , how long have you been at the end of the map? I get the feeling you've been there a while. I wondered if the 20 levels that went away were just there for someone who is newly at end-of-map, so I got them for 3 weeks and then they disappeared. But if you have been there for a while, it would mean they really removed them from the cycle for everyone a few weeks ago - it would be nice to know that's what happened. It also makes me wonder if they're working on more new levels to replace those. Right now I'm quite sure after several cycles that there are exactly 81 different levels that are cycled through in the same order every time (for me, at least) in the Star Tournament (with the caveat that the cycle starts in a random place each week when you first get back to end-of-map after playing the new levels).
I don’t remember when I first got to the end of the map, @Nobody1, but it’s at least a year ago. So it seems as if the ‘easier’ levels have been removed for everyone.
I didn’t play the Star Tournament much for the first while as it was the good old days of side games like Bash for Bars and Pot of Gold which were fair to everyone. The only one that is in that category now is Dice of Destiny. If you haven’t had it since you reached the rainbow (or ever), look out for it and see how it works for players like us. I’m afraid that if I say too much about it, the rules will change - like Don’t Feed the Troll- but it’s how all side games should work. Pity we only get it sporadically.
