The game is rigged: Each board is predetermined by an algorithm and will either allow you to pass easily or will end in a fail unless you pay for extra moves or use certain boosters.
In the early levels, such as level 143 it is very important to NOT spend your gold, but to replay the level until the the game gives you a lucky board that will help you win. You need gold bars after level 200 to keep playing without spending real money. If you do not have any gold left already uninstall and reinstall the app and start again. Follow my tips here:

Why are the sour skulls not working as they usually do? I was just playing level 13990 and the sour skulls wouldn't activate after they've been touched by a candy nor after a wrapped candy exploded. It cost me my episode race and streak. Why is CC getting so glitchy?
Since 3-4 days ago, I am unable to log in with my facebook account. Yes, I tried everything that I could find online, all the helps and tricks, but it still doesn't work. Probably lost 10 years of progress and about 12000 levels… I am fuming… Whatever I do, I get this message…

this level opens and immediately says you lost the level with zero moves made. I believe there’s a glitch in this level. It’s been happening for two days.
How can I be in a group with someone who has only played just over 300 games and compete when I am over 11k in levels? How can their style be similar to mine? This is just a money making racquet otherwise we’d compete against people on similar levels. Someone must explain this and with LOGIC!!
