@christinewupp . Hi I've a couple of questions I hope you don't mind me asking you.
2.I'm playing 9000 level i see more of red and yellow candies, I won't say there are no blue candies but very few board gives me good amount of blue candies. The leaderboard is showing the players I'm playing against are in level 1000ish and 2000ish. I'm currently on top of the board now, those two players have an edge over me. I'm losing more gold. Is it worth playing summer cup or I can sit it out ? Because if at all I win this second knockout i don't know how I'm going to move forward in finals because the competition is going to be heavy, and what if the players there in the finals are also in the lower levels.
3. How to be calm during competition like summer cup. Yesterday it was neck to neck between me and the second player, it stressed me out to no end(i panicked and lost my gold, even though i move forward with episode race, i don't see any improvement in my gold stash). I feel like I've aged 10 years in just 1 day. I don't know how people play best under pressure. Even this simple summer cup is stressing me, i cannot imagine all stars. (I'm inclined towards not playing in summer cup though I've not decided it yet, i want to hear what your advise is).
4. I have 99plus ufo, but when there is a tough level I'm confused which one to choose. Either i use free ufo i earned or fail a couple of times and pay 10 gold to get 25 moves plus ufo. (1 ufo is 19 gold my brain thinks it's better to fail twice and pay 10 gold which gives me ufo and 25 moves extra, by which I'm saving 9 gold). I know this doesn't make sense because all the 99 plus ufo are earned free. Which option is wise.
Ps - i do and I did use my free ufo liberally in that petal peril last level, because that last level in every episode race makes me see red. Out of this 42 days in petal peril event I have managed to win around less than 10 level without any strong boosters/ or by paying gold bars in those last level in every episode race
5. I know no one knows for sure but i want to know approximate time to finish an episode race. One time I left it for few hours in between playing and managed to get lucky to be still in the race and won. I don't want to lose an episode race and go back to 20 gold bars.
English is not my first language i learned enough to get by, i did my best to ask my questions as clearly I can for you to understand.
Hi @zeus77 I don't mind at all, I like answering questions so thanks for asking. I am not the best player nor the only one here in this community who can answer your questions.
I am very concerned you keep telling us you get stressed by playing. Please don't let it stress you.
My advice is to remind yourself of this:
I don't have much experience with these levels in the 9000s so I do not know if they supply enough blue candies to win. If you find that these levels have too many colours then you are at a disadvantage and probably can't win the Summer Cup anyway. Levels 1-3000 have almost exclusively only 4 colours. If you see reds and yellows then this is a problem as this means you have five or six colours and so you will see fewer blues.
It may be possible to draw out some of these levels but I cannot tell you which ones. Since King introduced the new jelly fish many levels self terminate when there are lots of moves left and there is no way for us to prevent this. If the game registers that you have done enough to win the level (for example if you played a double colour bomb combo on your first move) the algorithm switches to "pass" and you get all the candies you need to pass: colour bombs drop out of nowhere, cascades crash through the board and then the jelly fish appear and will eat your last jelly. There is no way to prevent this. There are only a few levels where it is possible to draw out after making a good start. These are dragon levels where the dragon moves on a conveyor belt and may pass through spaces with no exit. When the dragons are above a non exit space then you can play combos and set off fish. There are some levels with a liquorice or toffee order and droppers that can be played like this too. Occasionally it's possible to use the frog to block something as well, move it below a dragon or portal as a blocker. Some players have used such methods in All Stars, but for anyone not familiar with each and every level and knowing what will come up next there is little we can do to draw out a level. Since speed matters in the final round of major events I think most of us will do better playing quickly to finish the level than to try to overthink it and draw a level out: Thinking time is a time waster. I am confident I can play three levels giving me 100 blue each in less time than it would take me to get 300 blue out of any one level. I think the winners of All Stars were players who have practised so much for months they knew the levels coming up next. If you do then you can outplay anyone because you can draw the level out and also play quickly without thinking. Us mortals can't do that.
I haven't lost an episode race in a long time. I think mostly if you finish it the same day you win it, but I have heard of instances where the game tricked us and only gave us a few hours. I do think it varies now.
I hope some of this helps.
Thanks for replying and your concern for me. Yes all your explanation helps. Thanks for your detailed post. I wont stress anymore.
One example to prove what you said is true. I came across this today. (King control every aspect of every level and every event. If you fail to beat a level or to win an event it is because King made you fail.)
When only there was one move left the key dropped. This happened in the second attempt also. I paid gold to complete the levels.
