With this new update many players and new community members might be confused or are trying to adjust to the new look. I will try my best to guide you; however, I’m sure that I haven’t seen all of the changes yet so please bear with me.
Disclaimer: Some things might change and they could look slightly different depending on whether you use mobile or desktop.
So let’s begin! Since I am not familiar with accessing the community on a mobile device, I will post the link here:
https://community.king.com/
. This is the link to access the community on your mobile
It will offer you the ‘Latest Announcements’. Scroll down to view the next section, Popular Discussions.
Scroll further down to the bottom.
These are all the King games posted as an image. If you click on any of them it will take you to that game community. You can also access a list of the games.
At the top left, you will see 3 lines. Click on it and now you will see the ‘Games’ text in green as it is a hyperlink. Click on it. Now you will see the list of King games from the drop down menu. Scroll to the bottom of this webpage and you will see a ‘Visit Help Center’ button. Click on it.
Click on it and it will take you to the Help Center webpage.
This is the Help Center Home page. This is the area where you can find tips for your games, technical game issues, help with your purchases, transferring your game progress to a new mobile, and much more! You can also search for articles.
Above the search box and to the right, you also have the option of choosing your game and native language from a drop-down menu (see below).
Click on the ‘Choose a Game’ link and a drop-down menu will open up where you can click on your game and you will be taken to that game’s home page.
Below that to the right is a button that offers you another way to access the game list. The middle link will offer you a list of the games by text and you can choose your game from there. The last link will give you the game images. You can also search for a topic in the Help Center.
In the search box you can type in your game question about a level that you can’t clear, or technical issues such as your game freezing. Scroll down this page to view ‘Promoted Articles’ and ‘Topics’.
Under ‘Promoted Articles’ there is a starred hyperlink article ‘New to Candy Crush Solitaire? Read this tip!’. Click on this link.
A new webpage will open up to give you information about the game. Go back to the previous page by clicking on the arrow point to the left. Scroll down a bit to see the Topics.
In the ‘Topics’ section there are common questions and answers to various topics, such as: : My Purchases, My Game Progress, My Profile, Technical & Connection Issues, New Levels/Level Help and Privacy & Terms. Scroll a bit more and you will see more topics. Now let’s click on one of the topic questions to see if that helps answer your game issue.
Scroll down to the ‘New Levels/Level Help’ and click on the orange button on the right side.
Another webpage will open, click on the orange button.
You have the option of choosing your device or desktop: Android, IOS, Windows and Amazon. Click on your device and now you can choose the question. I clicked on IOS and then chose the first link. Click on the first question: Why are there different level numbers on mobile and Facebook?
It took me to this page where I was able to read the details. Now let’s begin to check out the game communities. Each game has its own home page. I will use Candy Crush Saga as an example.
You know your mobile more than me, so find your way back to the game images.
Click on the Saga image.
Each game has its own home page. Only the larger games have 4 buttons (Saga, Soda, Friends, Jelly, Farm Heroes, BW3 and Pet Rescue).
Below are the other King games with the buttons in their area:
Candy Crush Solitaire – Discussions, Support and Contests
BW2 – Discussions, Support and Contests
The smaller games (Blossom Blast, Diamond Diaries, and Farm Heroes Super) - Discussion & Support
Now let’s begin to check out each area in the Saga the game communities. I will be using Saga as an example.
This is Saga’s home page. Keep in mind that the header, as well as the posts will change periodically so it won’t always look like this.
Just below the buttons you can see ‘News’, ‘Posts’ and ‘Trending’. Feel free to click on each of them.
Let’s check out the Discussion area.
Click on the Discussion (speech box) button.
Discussion: This area offers you new features, events, and upcoming changes in the game, as well as general discussion messages. Scroll down the page to get an idea of the posts in this area. Anything that has an Announcement button was posted by the community manager. Click on any message to view its content. Scroll back to the top.
Let’s check out the Off-Topic area.
Click on the Off-Topic link.
Off-Topic: This area offers messages posted by management and community members. Click on the ‘Announcement’ button for details of what management found important for all to read, such as sharing your birthday or the post ‘Hello! Don’t be shy and say Hi! This is a good way to meet others who love the game(s) as much as you do. So take a moment to introduce yourself to other game players. It’s the fun area for community members to post messages that aren’t related to the King games. It’s a great break from a level that is frustrating you. Feel free to check out the ‘Announcement posts first.
Let’s go back to the Discussion area.
There are two hyperlinks below the Off-Topic link (Sort by and Filter). Click on the Sort by link.
From the drop-down menu you can choose one of the following:
Recently Commented – this will offer you the posts where people commented
Recently Created – these will be the most recent posts
Top – will show you posts that got the most comments
Trending – most popular posts
Oldest – will take you to the oldest posts
Now let’s go to the Support area. Click on the second button (the question mark button).
Support: This area is where you post your game issues or contribute to any current discussions. For example, if you are having difficulty with a level or you think that you might have found a glitch, you have a couple of options. The first option is to scroll down the list to see if someone has already reported the issue. Conversely, if you see a post of an issue that you had, you might want to post a response in that message.
You can click on Level Help & Tips.
These are posts where a community member needs help with a specific level. Scroll through the webpage to get a better idea of what this is all about. Click the left arrow on the bottom to go back to the Support home page. Let's go to the Contest area.
To get to the next area just below the two buttons click on the arrow to move it to the right which will take you to the next two buttons (Contest and Ideas).
Click on the star button and it will take you to the Contests area.
Contests: This area (the button with the star) is a fun area as it offers a variety of contests for a chance to win some gold bars. I’m not sure why it bounces back to the first two buttons but the messages are from the contests area.
This is your chance to get involved by entering the contest and meeting other community members who love the game as much as you. You can see the current contests because they have the Announcement button. If the contest is over, you will see “ENDED’ in the title.
Let’s go to the Ideas area now.
Since the page bounced back to the first 2 buttons, you will have to click on the arrow to move it to the right to get back to the next two buttons.
Click on the Ideas (light bulb) button.
Ideas: This area is for suggestions to help improve the game and make it even sweeter. Only these larger games have an Ideas area (Saga, Soda, Friends, Jelly, Farm Heroes, BW3 and Pet Rescue) . Make sure that you read the community manager’s message first (Announcement button). It will give you the guidelines plus other tips before you create a new post.
Scroll down the webpage to see if it’s already been suggested. If it has, click on the link, comment, and vote.
Let’s check out Tiffi’s New Library.
Click on the Tiffi's Idea Library hyperlink.
These are all old ideas that were never implemented or duplicates of posts where the idea was already suggested.
Click on the announced message that was created by management.
Management wants you to know that previous ideas that were closed or weren’t implemented will be moved from the Ideas area to this area.
After scrolling through the announced message about the guidelines, scrolling down the page to see if your idea hasn’t been posted, it’s now time to create a new idea.
On the bottom right click on the new idea button.
Click on the ‘New Idea’ button.
Make sure to give it a good title and detail it as much as you can so that everyone knows exactly what you would like to see added to the game. When you are satisfied with your post click on the ‘Save’ button.
One final detail before I end this, scroll down to the bottom of this webpage.
You have the option of clicking on the ‘Next Page’ button. In addition to the right you can see how many pages are available. You can type in the page number that you want to access by clicking on the arrow to the right of the page number and then type in the page that you want to go to in the bracket. Then click on the ‘Go’ button and it will take you to that page.
Below are some links that you might want to check out.
