I was sent the link to add a friend to Candy Crush Saga but the link just takes me to a page that doesn't have a way to add the friend. Am I doing something wrong or is there a problem with the link?
And yes, it is a brand new link. One was sent 2 days ago, and then they tried it again just yesterday.
Just to be clear @Cakes43 it is not the date the link was sent to you that is important but the date that the link was generated. Is your friend sending you a link they generated ages ago and saved so they can send it out to their friends?
It might be a Windows issue, which my friend and I both use, but I hope not.
Unfortunately it is more than likely the fact that you use Windows is to blame for the link not working.
If you have a smartphone download the game and see if the link works on that as a way of checking if the link actually works.
Alternatively if your friend doesn't mind post the link here and I will see if I can add your friend to my game. I will then delete them, but we will then know if the link works.

Thank you CaramelKat for your response. I'm signed using and signed into the same device I always use for Crush. I beleive it is updated but how do I check that, just in case?
In addition to what CaramelKat has told you @Cakes43 please also note that the link works best if you open your game before clicking on the link.
I don't know if this is different nowadays, but the link never used to work on Windows.
If none of the above works are you sure the link is new? Any link that is older than seven days stops working.
