  • We warmly welcome you to the Friendly King Community's Candy Crush Saga forum.

Your problem is app crashing, and you will find the solution to your problem through the following steps.

For further assistance, please feel free to write back to us. We'll be happy to assist you.

    Thank you.😊

  • Thank you but I have tried that to no avail. Every other game works on windows 10 app except CCS. It will start to load. I get the orange King screen and then it disappears.

  • You can follow a few more steps here and make sure your Windows is not updating in the background. App crashes during Windows updating, but not when the update is complete.

    However, please follow the steps.

    Update Microsoft Store:

Select the Start button, and then from the apps list, select Microsoft Store. In Microsoft Store, select See more > Downloads and updates > Get updates. If an update for Microsoft Store is available, it will start installing automatically.

You can also try by reinstalling the game app.

Please share your feedback and let us know if you are facing any issues.

Welcome to Sweet King Community! 👑

Repair options from the Settings page

    • Select Start  > Settings  > Apps > Apps & features. Or just click the shortcut link at the bottom of this article.
    • Select the app you want to fix.
    • Select the Advanced options link under the name of the app (some apps don't have this option). On the page that opens, select Repair if it's available. If it isn't available or doesn't fix the problem, select Reset.

Repair options from the Control Panel

    • In the search box on the taskbar, type Control Panel and select it from the results.
    • Select Programs > Programs and Features.
    • Right-click the program you want to fix and select Repair,

You can also see Sukanta has answered you to want to uninstall and reinstall this game can be solved better that I hope this helps too.

And it’s best not to store too many Boosters on your device, as there is a chance they may be lost, or affect the game play.

@Tricia55 Hi again , if this is a brand new laptop you may find you will need to install all the ,Microsoft updates that will get it up to the latest update. you should then find the game will work correctly. If you still experience problems would uninstall and reinstall the app as with windows 10 app everything is saved to kings servers

    Hope this helps

Since the latest update (sep-30) I do have the same issue on all of my 3 W10 laptops. Updated them all, uninstalled CCS before updating and installed again after updating: still the same issue. Repair is not available, reset does not help at all.

    What have you done King?

@pw64 Hi and welcome, will get this reported to the CM, but may be worth you trying to got to the version before the latest update and see if this solves the problem. Seems this is more to do with a windows update than the game.

Im playing on windows 10 app and mines ok and fully up to date

Well, I am not sure if that will help. On 1 of my laptops, nothing was updated at all (is governed by my employer who will install updates rather late), on one laptop Candy crush was running properly yesterday and stopped working, and I am sure there has not been an update.

On one laptop I can and will check, but now I have already three different cases completely independent, I am not very confident this will work.

  • Your devices may have been set to auto-update. Have you restarted the device and checked once?

Thank you all for your tips and advice. I've tried everything so I don't think I'll be sticking with that particular laptop.
