@DandyLane Hi and welcome, Please check you device and game are up to date and log out and restart your device and see if this resolves your issue
If not check Facebook settings under webs and app and make sure the game is active and notifications allowed
If this does not work there is some people that are experiencing an error with sending and receiving lives, This issue is being investigated, but we have no time frame on a fix for this at present

The envelope shows you messages, it can be sent lives, but also inquiries about lives. If you open it and click on all, you will send lives to those who have requested one and receive a maximum of 5 lives on your game account. This changes the number on your envelope
Did you try to click select all. If it doesn't work, you can still go to facebook settings. Apps and websites check whether the game is active. Otherwise you are unfortunately one of those affected who suffer from the general problem of receiving and transmitting life. Then you can just wait for it to be fixed.
