Also try while in the game disconnecting your wifi for 30 seconds and then reconnect to see if this helps or if mobile try changing from wifi to mobile data

According to your statement, my idea is that your app is corrupted so you are facing this problem but uninstalling and reinstalling the app will solve the problem. (for uninstalling game app, you will lose unsaved levels and stored boosters)
