👥 Friends disappeared/ empty friends list

The friends list in Candy Crush Saga is under reconstruction and getting a big update.
The update means that you soon will be able to choose and pick the friends you want to see in your game. Only the players that you want to interact with will show up.
Because of this new version, the friends list may have been reset and none of your former friends are showing up right now.
This new friendship feature is having some issues, but will be fixed shortly. Find more info about this HERE.
As soon as this is fixed, you will be able to add your friends or the players you want to interact with in the game.
Please note that your old friends list won't get automatically restored. You will need to manually add your friends to the game.
How to add your friends to the game in the future?
First tap your profile above on the Saga map and choose the tab 'Friends':
Tap the 'Add more friends' in the bottom and then 'Invite Friends':
Finally, choose the platform and which friends you want to have in your game by sending them the link that will appear.
Your friends can then accept your invite by simply tapping the link!

Based on Marilyn's question, I presume this post concerns the new "Profile/Friends" change to the game:
The three leaderboards (Rank, Current Level, and Levels completed per week iirc) have been removed from the Profile tab. I too dislike this change and want those boards back. 🤬 They were useful and organized.

I agree! I hate the new “friends” feature. It removed all of the leaderboards as well and it honestly makes it harder to gift and request lives. Previously I could see a whole list of people and now I only have 2 friends on it. I don’t play connected through FB nor do I want to. The update also makes it more difficult to earn bonus prizes it seems. I find myself wanting to play LESS and because I know the algorithm will make it harder to pass without purchases, it really is making me want to delete this app altogether.

I completely agree with the comments on the “new” feature. I HATE it! I do not have a large FB presence and the 3 friends I now have don’t play often enough to provide lives or anything. Leaderboard sucks too…. The 2 King games I play are creating sustained headaches for me. Logout, login, of either FB or King, delete, update app…Oh! And hope you don’t do anything wrong or you’ll get hurled back to level 1 👏👏👏. After playing for 7+ years that strikes fear in my heart…

uh guys, your old friends should still be in your game (so @Marilyn-3 there's no need to "recover those friends"). Mine are. They just don't appear in the list on the Friends tab. If you click any old level in your game, you should still see your existing friends there.
My only complaint is I just want the old leaderboards back. I quite like this Friends feature. (yes, I'm a "have your cake and eat it too" sort 😉)
