lives not registering

I have asked 2 questions and now have another problem. Lives that friends send are not registering on my iPhone correctly. When I go to my laptop to play, the lives are there and I cannot use them because I can only have 5 lives at a time. Lost boosters, lost lives..this is getting ridiculous! Please solve my issues.

It's not that the lives are not registering, it's that you can only have a maximum of 5 at a time, period. The way to do it is by only opening the messages when you've ran out of lives and need more, if you open them when you already have a full set of lives, they will be wasted.
