Have been experiencing this problem for several days. Was told by support to try all kinds of fixes (use different browser, open in incognito tab, make sure browser is up to date, optimize browser, clear cache, remove the game from Facebook and reinstall). None of these worked.
Hi Munster has your PC got a touch screen by any chance? If it has did you try moving the pieces that way instead of with your mouse?
This problem sounds like an extension of disabling the use of a mouse to scroll through the game menus.
It is Wednesday which is update day, so this is probably the result of yet another faulty release
