Well....this is no good...I am lets say kinda shocked...
I contacted customer support with this issue..
The answer I received (translated)
"Thank you for contacting customer support. I looked in to the issue you described .
We could not find any problem on our side that could cause this problem.
To resolve this issue disconnect from your account , restart WiFi connection, and re-connect to your account again.
Play one level and it should be fixed.
How strange.....it didn't work 😇

Standard answer. Is the same as a PC problem: restart the computer.
same for me, just started giving me 5 a day , as its been a couple of days no lives given.
Same here only on my iPad though. Receiving lives on my iPhone app though.
Are they really saying we can only receive an extra 5 lives a day from people? If this is true, I will stop playing.

If they’re now going to limit lives given I will no longer play this game! I’ve been playing for years and have realised bit by bit how we’re manipulated often into paying for extra moves and lives! We always just miss out by one move so that you end up spending money! I’ve spent too much lately and no more! If they’re now going to limit lives given it’s the final straw for me! Disgusting as they must be making a fortune! 😡😡😡
