Mine is also limited to 15/day. Maybe it's based on what level you are on that there are different limits? Higher level maybe = higher limit of lives?

I am on 7000+ and NOPE I only get 15/day.

one of major reasons I like and continue to play candy crush is (WAS) the practically unlimited amount of lives/chances allowed
being sooo limited, I’ll probably get board ☹️
