Is it possible the ranking wasn't updated and someone else took over the spot? Also, did you join the next stage as soon as it started, so you weren't left out?
You have 11 hours to claim the reward. If you don't log in, then it's gone. Here are the dates for the semi-final:
Starts: 30th September 2022, at 4 a.m. EDT
Ends: 3rd October 2022, at 4 a.m. EDT
Claim end time: 3rd October 2022, at 3 p.m EDT

Regarding losing your win streak - same happened to me at 642 streak. It felt terrible, as I didn't fail a level. I didn't even bother reporting that, as I'm sure they wouldn't have done anything about it. I mean, how could they even restore a win streak, which isn't even stored on the server?
If I remember correctly, I was at booster selection screen, before starting next level. Then I decided to take a break and closed the game directly. When I launched it again, my win streak was gone. π

Yes I know but I don't know which levels I would have to play. With new levels it is also quite good because they are taken 10 times. I'm already close to 50K...
I'm currently 2709 and stuck because a cherry went off the path. As a result, I am now losing my winning streak, which in turn is holding me back. It's bewitched somehow

π± Where did you get the info about a claim time timer? The collect candy events never had 'em (that narrow timeframe anyway) in the past. I distinctly recall sometimes waiting till Tue. to collect my prize once a contest ended Sun (esp. for the old Dexter's Space Race). iirc Wed. nights used to be the claim deadline, although I never waited beyond Weds. to claim a reward so wouldn't know the exact limit.
If true, it explains everything (and thanks for the helpful info @Doondie--Support neglected to inform me of this obvious reason I was unaware of). I don't have time to open the game/boot my comp (I only play on the Win10 app) till getting home from work on Mondays, which is around 7:30-8:30 pm EST.
Gonna have to test that this time before dashing out the door Mon. morning.

This sucks. I've had a similar experience once or twice - cherry goes off-road and it's RIP. Too bad there's no back-up option, even if you have some Switch boosters.
As for old levels - I keep a record of a few that are good for Choco Box tasks - stripes, cherries, colour bombs, fishes, certain colour candies.
Sounds like you gotta log in quicker for them freebies. π
